The Design Process           

 Homefab manufactures building components for custom designed homes. Steel allows for a wide range of roof and ceiling styles in the design of your home. Although we have standard designs, we specialise in custom design, and prefer not to fabricate the same house twice. Steel is perfect for sloping sites, eliminating the cost to cut, fill and install retaining walls on your property. Spacious verandas and open living areas are easily achieved with steel, allowing for more energy efficient ventilation.

Homefab uses a computer aided drafting program to provide you with accurate, three-dimensional preliminary plans of your future home. This service is free for approved clients.                                             

Fabrication 

Homefab has developed a Cyclone Rated Building System, incorporating Bluescope Truecore® high-tensile light weight steel and Henrob Self-Piercing Riveting system to create a high quality, durable building product.

The result is a true and straight building component, that eliminates problems such as stuck doors and cracked internal sheeting. 

Homefab strives to make the process even easier on site. The following are a few examples of this goal: pre-bracing walls, cutting recesses for baths and showers and by pre-punching stud for plumbing and electrical.

Homefab supplies Owner Builders and Building Contractors with steel frame building components for new homes, including sub floor systems, wall frames, trusses and all the necessary brackets, fasteners and battens.

There is also the option of purchasing the components in the following kit forms:

• a steelwork only kit,

• lock up stage kit or a

• complete kit.
